FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use your beats on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Music?

Yes, all leases include permission to use the beats across major platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, and more.

Do I need to credit you when I use a beat?

No, credit is not required — but it's always appreciated. You can use something like “Prod. by Jay Elliott” in your title or description if you'd like to support the brand.

What does non-exclusive mean?

Non-exclusive means the same beat may be licensed by multiple artists. You have the rights to use the beat in your work, but you do not own it exclusively unless you purchase the exclusive license.

How can I get exclusive rights to a beat?

Contact me directly via Acidtimelord@gmail.com. Exclusive licenses are £500 per beat and remove the track from future public sale.

Can I make changes to the beat?

Yes, you're free to arrange, mix, or add vocals/instruments to the beat. However, reselling the beat itself (even with minor edits) is not allowed.

What’s the royalty split for leased beats?

Commercial releases using leased beats follow a 50/50 royalty split: 50% to you as the artist, 50% to Jay Elliott as the producer. Reach out to set up DistroKid splits or PRO registration if needed.

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the nature of digital products, all beat sales are final and non-refundable. If you encounter any issue with a file or need assistance, please get in touch and I’ll make it right.
